Flora Fong Garcia was born in Camaguey, Cuba, on November 8, 1949.
She is a graduate of the National School of Arts ( ENA ) in Havana, Cuba. She is a painter, sculptor, ceramicist and has worked in stained glass and Asian kite-making. She also worked as an art professor at San Alejandro Art Academy, in Cuba.
Her work has been exhibited at the National Museum of Fine Arts, Havana, the National Parliament in Beijing, China and various galleries in France, Spain, Portugal, Japan, Mexico,Panama, Switzerland and South Korea. She has been featured in exhibitions in the U.S such as Art Chicago, Los Angeles Art Show, Palm Beach, Miami Art Basel, Washington D.C. and New York.
Flora was honored with the Cuban National Fine Arts Award.
